Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Data and Analytics Consultant with a strong focus on SAP Financials to support the Department of the Navy (DON) Financial Improvement Program (FIP) Navy ERP PMO. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Data and Analytics, particularly in designing, implementing, and optimizing data models and analytics solutions within the SAP ecosystem. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to harness the power of data to drive financial insights and decision-making within the Navy ERP system. An active Secret Clearance is required, and the preferred location for this position is the Washington, D.C. area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the SAP Data and Analytics Consultant for the Navy ERP PMO within the DON FIP, focusing on SAP Financials data and analytics solutions.
2. Design, develop, and implement SAP data models, data integration processes, and analytics solutions to support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within the Navy ERP system.
3. Leverage SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, and other SAP data and analytics tools to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
4. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics dashboards.
5. Optimize and maintain data models, data pipelines, and analytics environments to ensure high performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
6. Develop and execute data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and reliability in SAP Financials reporting.
7. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities to enable end-users and stakeholders to effectively utilize SAP data and analytics tools.
8. Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy data governance, security, and privacy standards while implementing SAP data and analytics solutions.
9. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP data and analytics environments, resolving issues related to data extraction, transformation, loading, and visualization.
10. Stay updated on SAP data and analytics innovations and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

1. Clearance : Active Secret Clearance is required.
2. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an SAP Consultant with a focus on Data and Analytics, including experience with SAP Financials (FI/CO).
4. Experience supporting Navy ERP or other DoD ERP systems is highly desirable.
5. Proven experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP BusinessObjects.
6. Strong experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and developing complex analytics and reporting solutions.
7. Expertise in SAP data and analytics tools, including SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Data Services.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and data security best practices in a DoD environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. SAP certification(s) in BW/4HANA, SAC, or other related areas.
2. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools for project management.
3. Familiarity with machine learning, predictive analytics, or other advanced analytics techniques within the SAP environment.
