About the Role: The Release Manager has two primary responsibilities: 1) oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our software deploy and release processes, and 2) manage our hotfix and incident response processes.
This role will collaborate closely with development teams, quality engineering, EPD operations, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of our software ensuring:
- Accurate planning and execution of our release plan
- Code quality standards are met
- Release quality standards are met
What you'll be doing: - Manage the weekly code deployment process, including:
- Coordinate the testing and verification work with QE & Devs for deployment signoff
- Own the merges and branch promotions as part of the deployment process
- Ensure all of the Post-deploy verifications are complete and are closed out
- Understand and communicate the deployment and release calendars to ensure EPD knows when and where to merge changes and features are released on schedule
- Shepherd the release process, including:
- Maintain and update release calendar for deployments and releases
- Manage all release items and coordination in Jira
- Coordinate and manage all feature flags related to releases
- Communicate feature flag states for upcoming releases
- Push flag states on Demo and Prod according to cohorts
- Prepare flag testing preparation with Engineering
- Drive go/no go decisions
- Manage hotfix deployment and incident reporting, including:
- Own reporting and incident tracking
- Derive and report on metrics related to release quality and cleanliness
- Cross-functional partnership and communication, including:
- Partner with EPD Operations to understand and capture release dates for respective features
- Partner with GTM team to ensure alignment on timelines to prepare external communications, internal enablement, and coordinated preparation for launches
Skills & Experience: - Experience with Agile methodologies, continuous integration and development tools (CI/CD) for a SaaS product
- Project Management experience and planning mindset - Experience in managing projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Proficient in using Git (or similar tooling) for version control systems
- Strong and clear communication skills - Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including development teams, QE teams, and business units
- Collaborative mindset to work and coordinate between cross-cutting departments
- Ability to analyze and improve release processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- 3+ years of experience in a release management or related role

Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000 The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
