About Us:
K&T Security is a leading provider of security services, committed to ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel. We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Overnight Security Officer to join our team at Bowie State University. The primary hours for this role will be from Midnight to 9 AM.

Position Overview:
As an Overnight Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and property during nighttime hours. Your duties will include controlling entry and exit points, conducting regular patrols, writing detailed incident reports, and assisting in emergency situations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control entry and exit points.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activities.
• Write and maintain accurate reports of security-related activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Assist in emergency response and crisis management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff.
• Enforce university policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs and rounds.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland security officer license or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work primarily from 11 PM to 9 AM.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to write detailed reports.
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
• Prior security or school-related experience preferred.
