Position: Landscaper
Location: Orlando, FL.
Reports to: Supervisor

Pay: $16

Shift: 1st Shift 7 am to 4:30 pm or Later

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, lawns, and other green spaces. This role involves a mix of physical labor, creativity, and attention to detail to ensure that landscapes are aesthetically pleasing, healthy, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscape Design & Installation:
  • Assist in the design and planning of outdoor spaces.
  • Prepare sites for landscaping by grading, tilling, and amending the soil.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and grass according to design plans.
  • Install hardscaping elements such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, and water features.
• Maintenance & Upkeep:
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and weeding.
  • Mulch, fertilize, and irrigate landscapes to ensure plant health.
  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to control pests and diseases.
  • Inspect landscapes regularly to identify and address issues.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in safe working order.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent injuries.
  • Comply with local regulations and environmental standards related to landscaping activities.
• Customer Service:
  • Interact professionally with clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Provide recommendations for landscape improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local plant species and landscaping techniques.
• Skills:
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Certification in pesticide application (preferred).

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work environment, exposed to varying weather conditions.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, digging, and operating heavy equipment.
