Job Summary:
We are excited to invite applications for a full-time Billing Manager to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will provide leadership, development, and oversight to ensure the success of our billing department. You'll play a key role in understanding the billing process, nurturing team growth, and making day-to-day decisions that contribute to our mission of inspiring excellence while maximizing cash flow from collections.
Structure and Schedule:
This position is hybrid, allowing you to work both in the office and remotely based on team performance. While we encourage flexibility, you should be available in the office Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, as needed. This full-time role comes with benefits and will report directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
Responsibilities:
Support the billing team in understanding clean claim submissions, minimizing write-offs, and ensuring timely follow-up.
Set ambitious yet achievable targets for the team while fostering a culture of kindness and accountability.
Provide comprehensive training for new team members and develop resources to enhance their skills.
Mentor billers in troubleshooting and problem-solving effectively.
Cultivate a team mindset that prioritizes our collective goals over individual objectives.
Conduct formal semi-annual performance reviews and offer immediate, constructive feedback in a supportive manner.
Collaborate weekly with the Revenue Cycle Manager and other leaders to drive results.
Lead engaging team meetings focused on outcomes, improvement areas, and skill development.
Identify and resolve system issues through direct communication with payors and software support.
Perform regular audits of billing reports to highlight successes and areas for improvement.
Monitor accounts receivable and payment reports to identify trends and address any challenges proactively.
Stay informed about insurance coverage from a billing perspective and assist the team in reviewing patient eligibility.
Learn the requirements and processes for new payors as contracts are acquired or modified.
Participate in reviewing the accuracy of accounts receivable, adjustments, and payment posting during month-end close preparations.
Undertake special projects and additional duties as required.

At least three years of relevant industry experience, preferably in medical billing or home health.
