As a leading AI educational firm, is a mission-oriented, double bottom-line business, and aims to grow both our revenue and our impact (such as number of users reached). As part of the executive team of the company, you will play a leading role in shaping our overall strategy. You will also help ensure cross-functional collaboration aligned with the strategy and operationalizing the strategy through developing and tracking key metrics.
+ **Lead business partnerships.** works with several key partners to create, market, and distribute our content. As the senior business leader in the company, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing and managing fruitful partnerships to drive our revenue and impact goals. We expect that the work on content partnerships will be in close collaboration with our product/content team. This work will require setting up a framework for growing partnerships and also finding creative ways to negotiate arrangements with partners that align their interest and ours.
+ **Lead company operations (People function).** You will be the overall lead for the companys operations function. As part of this, you will be responsible for overseeing the people function, including HR, people operations, and overseeing our outsourced recruiting function. You will oversee the development of our people processes to ensure our team is well supported and enjoys high morale.
+ **Lead company operations (Finance and admin function)** You will also lead the companys finance and admin functions (including legal). In addition to ensuring accurate financial operations, you will also lead the companys FP&A function to ensure that the company leadership has robust projections against which to make business decisions and against which to manage the company.
+ MBA or equivalent business experience.
+ Minimum 7 years of direct people management experience with a proven track record of managing business operations, including HR and finance.
+ Experience managing and nurturing long term strategic partnerships.
+ Experience growing and mentoring small teams in a fast-moving environment, and experience managing at least 25 employees.
+ Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with experience communicating and working effectively at all levels.
+ Proven ability to help drive corporate strategy and select the right points of focus to grow a business.
+ Would thrive in high growth, fast-changing, but limited resources and sometimes ambiguous environments (i.e., a startup!).
+ Creative and scrappy problem solver who rolls up their sleeves and does what needs to be done.
+ Must have worked at an early-stage startup and accustomed to wearing multiple hats.
+ Experience owning P&L and growing revenue through existing user base as well as expanding the current user base.
+ Previous experience working in the edtech industry.
+ Experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
+ Previous experience working in and scaling the content business companies.
+ Grow B2C subscription experience.
+ FP&A and financial modeling experience that can result in an operational plan is highly preferred.
**This is a full-time position based in the United States. Our team operates mostly in the US west coast time zone.
