As a Data Manager Sr within PNC’s MIS Finance/Accounting organization, you will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX. or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

The following are responsibilities of the position:
•\tTo develop and drive execution of a consistent data strategy – from sourcing to reporting, across Finance ensuring consistent controls.
•\tEngage with the LoB and across the tech organization on key initiatives.
•\tWork closely with the data integration lead to ensure best practices, controls are incorporated across the landscape and existing investments are optimized.
•\tHelp increase the data literacy for the business user as well as the technology team Literacy specifically understanding and leveraging data to drive daily operations and financial insight.
•\tPercolate best practices, training, knowledge management, user support and user oversight across the immediate team.
•\tIncrease the engagement and contribution of finance data in enterprise efforts such as Alation or LoB specific initiatives.
•\tTo improve the quality of data analysis and project best practices across the project lifecycle.
Drive innovation to optimize and govern the preparation and delivery of information through Business Intelligence tools and techniques.
Orchestrate efforts between the Technology team and the business users on business impacting changes.

Required Skills include:
•\tTeam building and development.
•\tCustomer Service and relationship building with partners.
•\tStrong influencer – managing resources that are not direct line reports.
•\tStrong Knowledge of Tableau, Oracle, SQL.
•\tWorking Knowledge of BI Tools like Tableau, PowerBI and Integration techniques.
•\tKnowledge of Capital/Expense Financial operations including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
•\tAbility to present to executives.

Job Description
  • Manages all aspects of organizational data; establishes and maintains policies and procedures for planning, designing and maintaining an information bank to ensure that data services are delivered in a high-quality and profitable manner.
  • Provides senior leadership, direction and methodology for analysis, structure and storage of critical organizational data.
  • Oversees the integrity and maintenance of organizational data.
  • Monitors and reviews major organizational activities and goals to ensure important data needs are anticipated, and met.
  • Reviews and recommends policies and procedures for collecting and managing organization data.

Work Experience Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
