AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Support production processing including identifying and troubleshooting issues for ISO
reporting.
• Process and balance policy and claim data from multiple data sources, and analyze
data for completeness, accuracy, and anomalies.
• Research and determine root cause of data errors and identifies solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system and process documentation.
• Perform statistical data reconciliation across systems and addresses discrepancies.
• Research and interpret statistical requirements, including identifying and translating
reporting needs for regulatory changes and expanded statistical reporting services.
• Document processing requirements and collaborate with Programming to define system
changes.
• Support testing of changes/enhancements to the ISO Reporting system.
• Serve as liaison with the Policy & Claim vendors to identify and address data issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality and streamline processes.
• Serve as project lead for statistical reporting projects to expand services.
• Provide training to other team members on statistical reporting.
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Statistical/Data Analysis or related field preferred. Additional appropriate experience or training may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: 3 or more years of statistical reporting experience in the insurance industry, preferably automobile insurance. Experience in researching statistical manuals, interpreting regulatory requirements, identifying business needs, and defining system solutions.
Skills/ Knowledge: • Strong knowledge of statistical regulatory business rules and requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to research, interpret and assess impact of regulatory needs.
• Knowledge of technology platforms and software such as Power BI and open systems.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) to
manage work.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting using SQL queries and functions
• Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root
cause of the problem and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team
environment.
Salary Range: $51,200 - $81,800/$61,200 - $97,800 Annual . A ctual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
