Position: Assistant Audio Engineer

Reports To: Audio Manager

Job Summary:

An Assistant Audio Engineer is an advanced level audio engineer. Assists with properly and efficiently deploying equipment. Runs signal cable and physically connects equipment. May also assist with line and soundchecks. Pulls and organizes equipment for events. Properly manages and safely stores audio equipment in areas. An Assistant Audio Engineer is able to tech all audio equipment at a moment's notice and is responsible for notifying the Head Audio Engineer of any challenges or complications.

Primary Job Duties:

• Assist the Head Audio Engineer with any task or equipment.
• Run signal cable and physically connect the Audio equipment.
• Manages the proper and safe storage of all Audio equipment.
• Be able to communicate with fellow team members.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Gain Staging
• Signal Flow
• Knowledge of various analog and digital consoles
• Knowledge of various amplifier and speaker models
• Able to follow safety protocols
• Communicates efficiently
• Knowledge of L'Acoustics speakers
• Able to operate rigging motors preferred
• Fork and scissor lift certified preferred

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work outside in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
